Question
Judy, I am a long time student of working with the Law of Attraction. Lately, however, I have felt like someone unplugged me from my power. It seems like nothing I do in my business is manifesting like it used to, particularly when it comes to my income.
I am a realtor and I know that times have been rough in my industry; however, I’ve been taught that outer circumstances don’t dictate what is possible. Well, I hear that, but I just can’t seem to get around it. I worry about money, and I find that I am resentful of others successes. I don’t like to be that way. How can I rise above this and increase my income?
Answer:
Katie, you have brought up a very common concern that I hear often, one that I have certainly dealt with in my life, as well. I know what it is like to feel unplugged, as you call it, from the Universe. I felt this during a dark night of my soul years ago. It was the worst/best thing that ever happened to me. I’m going to share some of what I learned with you right now.
I have good news and bad news, and you don’t want to miss this. It will change your life.
The good news is that the Laws of the Universe are always consistent. They are absolute and work the same for everyone, all of the time. So, if you are not getting the income results that you used to, then the bad news is, you are not effectively using the laws. This is not your fault. You just need a new distinction to the manifesting process.
What happens is, anytime the outer conditions change and you experience a negative impact as a result of that change, uncertainty and doubt kick in and trigger old limiting beliefs and fears. Not realizing what has happened, you can spiral downward into your survival mode. That’s when you become ineffective to manifest the changes you want, in this case, to increase your income.
During the time when everything was flowing for you, it was easy to feel confident and certain about your abilities and your future. Your focus of attention was on what you wanted. You weren’t perceiving that there was a “threat” to your survival.
Threats vie for our attention, real or imagined. When your attention gets hijacked by the “scary story” that your negative beliefs produce, you will not be free to choose something better, regardless if you affirm more money and work very hard for it.
The most important thing to start turning things around is for you to stop judging yourself and your present results as wrong and bad. Your negative judgments are what have seemingly “unplugged you”. Once you feel this separation from love and acceptance, you will be catapulted into your survival mode. You are now subject to your fearful belief system of lack, limitation, and powerlessness. Your only goal at this level is to get secure and safe. This is not client attractive! It is self-oriented.
For things to change, you must change who you are being, with you and your world:
- forgive yourself for having the habit of judgment and comparison
- realize that you have been in a breakdown, fighting with yourself
- identify what is really important for you at this time
- remember what you are committed to in service to others
Peace and acceptance will move you forward. You’ll once again feel plugged into a Universe that never left you at all. This is the certainty that you are looking for.
