By creating a wealthy mindset, you are building a strong foundation to support the largest life you truly want. The size is up to you. It is your choice. I commend you,for doing your inner work. You are preparing for a life that is beyond anything you have ever dared imagine! You will withstand the ever-changing conditions that are part of life, and thrive!

Today, I am speaking of the least talked about aspect when it comes to creating a wealthy mindset, the Body. So, what is the body of wealth consciousness? Perhaps, it might be useful to first look at a body that is living in fear and survival, rather than in abundance and joy. I am coming from the reality that we have a mind/body connection.

Basically, a sick body is a stressed body, which is accompanied by negative thoughts and emotion Worrying, stewing about things, and letting things get under our skin can have negative effects on us, if not sooner, later. Recently, I fell into a mode of survival and scarcity with regard to time. I believed I didn’t have enough time to get it all done. Does this sound familiar?

Fortunately for me, my body had a little tantrum because I wasn’t paying attention to it and relaxing enough. It hit me like a ton of bricks, and I became quite ill. Well, I knew I was out-of-balance and working too hard. I love what I do, yet, my body needed a break. It has needs too, and I was clearly ignoring them. My belief that I didn’t have enough time gave me a sense of urgency which overwhelmed me. All that I was able to do at that point was to spin around in circles. I became totally unproductive, and truthfully, I wasn’t much fun to be around.

Gratefully, I paid attention to the wisdom of my body. As I healed quickly, I realized that I was tolerating not feeling optimum. This breakdown in my health provided me the opportunity to increase my standards for my health. The better I felt, the clearer and more creative I became. I was able to break things down into manageable, bite size pieces, all from the place of remembering, I have plenty of time!

A wise woman once told me, “The way you do one thing is the way you do everything.” This sage advice caused me to look at all areas in my life where I might be tolerating a less-than optimum experience. I invite you to do the same. Is your body having a tantrum by being sick? Are you tired, grumpy, and pushing yourself and others to get things done? How well do you really feel?

The Body of a Wealthy Mindset is a strong, healthy body that moves easily, feels strong, is lean, and provides us with the energy and dexterity that we need to accomplish anything we want to do. It doesn’t give out on us. A healthy body has a huge influence in supporting the thoughts and feelings that constitute a wealthy mindset. Our thoughts, moods, and emotions will be consistent with how well our body feels. Isn’t this true for you?

Wealth Practice # 11

1.    Take stock in your health. Are you tolerating not feeling well? Where do you need to raise your standards? Do you need more exercise? Are you eating as well as you could be? When was your last check-up? Pick one thing you can begin this week and DO IT! Tell yourself, “I am living in a body that thrives!” Up your standards for your body now!

2. Listen to your body this week. Ask it what it needs to thrive. Listen to your body rather than ignoring it or worse yet, getting mad at it. Check in with yourself three (3) times a day. Be present to your body sensations. Is there any tension, tightness, or aching? Notice what is true. Decide that feeling less than optimum is no longer acceptable.

3.  Remember, the way you do one thing is the way you do everything. How does caring for your body mimic other ways you are attending to your life, particularly your financial life? What are you tolerating there?
